Color Contacts: Fashionable, Dramatic and HOT!

"A great way to give you a subtle or dramatic change is with colored contact lenses. Manufacturers currently make a wide range of different color contacts in both prescription and non-prescription form with colors available to make your eyes sizzle!"

There are four types of colored contact lenses; visibility tints, enhancement tints, opaque color tints and light filtering tints, each offering something a bit different.

Regardless if you will be purchasing color contacts for prescription or plano (non-prescription) form you will need to have a valid eye prescription. In the United States it is law that you have a prescription for any contact lenses purchases, whether they are prescription or not. An eyecare practitioner can include any optometrists, ophthalmologist or even opticians (in some states). This is because it is necessary to achieve the right shape, lens size and material for each individuals eyes. Improperly fitted lenses can lead to serious eye problems and infection.

Once you have the proper eye prescription you are free to purchase your colored discount contact lenses wherever you please. It is also important to have a yearly check up to ensure your lenses are still fitting properly and you prescription hasn''t changed.

Four Different Tints:

Colored contact lenses are available in four different tints. The visibility tint usually has a light blue or green tint added to the lens, for the sole purpose of helping you to better see the lenses during insertion and removal. The tint also aids in seeing if they are dropped, because the tint is so light they do not affect eye color. The enhancement tints are a solid (yet translucent) tint that is not much darker than the visibility tint but does affect the wearer''s eye color. As the name implies the lenses enhance the existing color of the eyes. The enhancement tints are a nice yet subtle change for those just wanting to add a bit of intensity to their eye color.

Color tints are a deeper, opaque tint allowing the wearer to dramatically change their eye color. For anyone wanting a completely new look these are the color contacts to choose. Some of the lovely tints available come in colors such as; blue, gray, true sapphire, green, turquoise, Caribbean aqua, sea green and pacific blue to name a few. The various tints are usually made up with a series of colorful shapes, lines or dots to mimic the look of the natural eye.

Special Effects Contact Lenses:

Costume and theatrical lenses also fall into the same category of opaque color contacts. These special effect lenses are available in prescription and non-prescription form. The lenses are an excellent choice for any theatrical production, television or advertising needs, and for most people a great addition to any Halloween costume. The special effect contact lenses come in exciting designs like jaguar, cat eye, alien zebra, blackout (changing the eye color to black), white-out (changing the eye color to white), red hot, bloodshot and wolf designs. The special effect contact lenses are just as safe as your regular contact lenses provided they are cared for in the same way. Check with your eyecare practitioner for the proper cleaning regimen, and remember to never share your lenses.

Sports Contact Lenses Help Enhance Your Game:

The light-filtering tints are specifically made for use in sports. The special lenses enhance certain colors while muting others. One of the popular light-filtering tints comes in optic yellow, the color of tennis balls and golf balls. The tints allow for the ball to stand out against the background therefore making it easier to target, the colored contacts are also an excellent option for spectators.

Shy or Outgoing -There is a Color for You:

For those purchasing colored contacts for the first time deciding what color is best can be a difficult decision especially with all the options available. Personality has a lot to do with what color might be most appropriate for you. If you are a bold and outgoing person who doesn''t mind being the center of attention, a color that is opposite your natural eye color might be best. An example would be someone with brown eyes wearing contact lenses in a green or blue shade. On the other hand if you are a bit more reserved and shy you may choose lenses that don''t get you quite as noticed, an example would be a blue eyed person going with a shade of gray. The enhancement tints are great for a deepening affect that doesn''t change your eyes at all, but still manages to give a sparkle to your look.

The advantage to the disposable color contacts is with all the available choices if you purchase a pair that you don''t feel best suit your given personality and appearance you can always switch them to a different color at little cost.

If your colored contacts are for prescription wear you''ll want to choose lenses that are compatible with your needs and find a wear schedule appropriate for you. Some examples of the different disposable lenses available are; frequent replacement contacts which are replaced monthly or quarterly; disposable lenses needing replacement daily, weekly or every two weeks and the traditional or reusable lenses which need replacing about every six months or longer. The replacement schedule that will be best for you is based on how your eyes behave while wearing the lenses. Some people need to replace their lenses more frequently as their eyes produce more protein and lipids (causing build-up on the lenses) than others. Whether you decide on a regular pair of lenses or disposables will depend on your individual needs.

Conclusion:

It is important when owning colored contacts to never share the contacts, even if they are just for novelty use in non-prescription form. This is because sharing lenses can transmit harmful bacteria leading to possible eye infections or serious eye conditions. Another reason to never share is that your contact lenses are fitted specifically for you, sharing with someone else can cause abrasion or eye damage.

The color contact lenses are a unique and fun way to change or enhance your look. With all the available colors it might be difficult to make a choice. It is important to remember that colored contact lenses are medical devices and if not properly prescribed and fitted a person could suffer discomfort, abrasion, swelling and in some instances permanent eye damage. Always treat your contact lenses with care to ensure proper eye health.

How To Wear Contact Lenses In The Allergy Season

The allergy seasons are a real challenge, especially if you wear contact lenses. A chronic allergy to mold, pet dander or other environmental allergens can create a year-round dilemma. No matter what the cause, seasonal allergies make your eyes hypersensitive and irritated. Ordinary soft contact lenses often make them feel even worse.

There''s a lot you can do to reduce the misery of allergy season. Keep your contacts as clean as you can whether you have to use lubricating drops to rinse your eyes out regularly. Remove your contacts and clean them in a solution throughout the day, if they are not ''one-per-day'' type lenses.

Allergy induced conjunctivitis, a condition that causes painful swelling and redness of the eyes, can make wearing your contacts a real pain. If this becomes a real issue, it''s best to consult your optometrist. Disposable lenses allow you a more comfortable lens that you can trash at the end of the day. You''ll have no more worries about making sure all the dust and pollen has been removed or cleansed.

Other ways to get relief are simple. During allergy season, contact lens wearers should close the windows in their cars and houses and use the air conditioner. Air conditioner filters often remove most of the annoying pollens and dust from the air. Avoid doing a lot of lawn work or outdoor activities in the mornings and early afternoon, because pollens are usually at their highest levels at that time.

Don''t mow or rake the lawn without protective eyewear and a dust mask when your allergies are at their worst. If you''ve been outside or doing similar work, wash your hands frequently to avoid transferring pollens, dusts or molds close to your eyes.

Washing your hair everyday and your face two or three times a day also helps reduce the amount of transferable pollen and dust.

Allergies are an unfortunate condition for some people and there are a number of allergy medicines that can help reduce and in some cases even eliminate the symptoms. When contact lenses are involved, a little prevention can help reduce the amount of irritation or discomfort you might be feeling. If it doesn''t, remember to always speak to your doctor for a diagnosis or prescription that could help.

Eyeglasses and Contact Lenses - More Style, Same Utility

At one time, promotions on television advertised a new, sexier you if you elected to lose the glasses and pop in a pair of contact lenses. This image has always been demonstrated in Superman comics, television programs and movies.

He''s a bit of a geek or too normal a guy, but when the glasses come off - he''s Superman. Fortunately, the image- makers and shakers that relegated eyeglasses to the awkward, the nerd gear of decades past has begun to embrace glasses for the fashionable, functional necessity they have become.

The differences between glasses and contact lenses are more related to personal issues of comfort than to image. Arguments can be made in support of contacts over eyeglasses.

For example, contact lenses are worn directly over the eye allowing natural vision and no distortion as some eyeglass wearers may experience because of the small gap between the lens of the glasses and your eye.

There is always a constant awareness of the frames as well as the reflections off the backside of the lens. While most eyeglass wearers become so accustomed as to hardly notice the discrepancy, it becomes more pronounced when switching between contacts and glasses.

Glasses can fog up when the temperature changes and they might be a distraction during physical activities, especially sports where you don''t want your glasses to be broken. Contacts suffer neither of these. Eyeglasses can be made with tinting lenses that allow them to turn into functional sunglasses, but contact lens wearers can pick any pair of sunglasses they want.

For the particularly fashion conscious, contact lenses coordinate with everything in your wardrobe. But for all their differences, both require cleaning and gentle care. Both correct astigmatism (irregular cornea shape) and with modern technology, both are very affordable. A new pair of eyeglasses and a new pair of contacts is comparable in price for the same prescription.

The decision between contacts or eyeglasses is no longer one associated with social stigma or social image, but rather of the image and look you want to project to the world. It''s all truly dependent in this day of modern fashion on what makes you feel comfortable and look great.

Liposuction, or Baggy Clothes?

Let''s face it ladies. There are very few of us that can happily go about living our day to day life without having to carry around with us some degree of ''pads of fat'' that have been laid down upon our thighs, buttocks, stomachs and in some cases, upper arms since the beginning of our estrogen secretion (which is responsible for our curved contours, to many for most of us) since the onset of puberty.

With few exceptions, the rest of us are usually fighting an ongoing battle with our more than enough fatty deposits. We are on diets and workout programs which, granted go a long way for our fitness and health levels but, most of the time once we decide to ''lay of for a while'' we find in no time at all that we are usually back to square one. Also there is a vast majority of the female population, which no matter how much diet and exercise they do it is almost impossible for the local fatty deposits to leave their body. Thus, most women have come to terms that the easiest, quickest and most inexpensive way to deal with the problem is to camouflage it with clothes. But this has led most women to be ultimately forced to dress in a manner other than the one that they prefer.

Fortunately though, in the past few years much progress has been made in the field of cosmetic surgery with regard to liposuction. The methods used to undertake liposuction nowadays are more than one. However, the most common method still used is an updated variation of the initial surgical one. Plastic surgeons, through new techniques have been able to combat even the most difficult cases of liposuctions. Outlined below is the method most commonly used in liposuction surgery today by plastic surgeons.

The procedure is carried out by local anesthetic that is injected directly into the area to be treated which, at the same time causes the area to contract so as to reduce the amount of blood which is to be lost during the procedure. Small incisions are then made on the skin and a thin metallic tube is inserted which, with the help of a special pump ''sucks'' out the fat. The fat is then re-deposited in other areas of the body, which may need it. If after the liposuction there is skin ''leftover'' the procedure will be followed by a dermolipectomis (removal of excessive skin). After the procedure is completed the patient can resume his or her duties and lifestyle within one to two weeks. Exercise can be resumed one month after the liposuction procedure. For those of you who have the problem of extra fatty deposits but at the same time are squeamish about undergoing liposuction even under local anesthetic, stay tuned. The next topic on liposuction coming up soon deals with a very recent variation on liposuction known as lipoliquidation.

History of Plastic Surgery

When most people use the term Plastic Surgery, they more often than not use it in reference to cosmetic surgery. Few people actually stop to think that Plastic Surgery covers a far wider range of surgical procedures and that cosmetic surgery is only one type of surgery related to Plastic Surgery. The full scope of Plastic Surgery is quite wide if one stops to think about it and more often than not, is related to, and, plays a fundamental role in conjunction with other fields of medicine and surgical procedures pertaining to the field of general surgery. Plastic Surgery is basically concerned with the reconstruction of the surface of the body whether that has to do with the reconstruction of facial or body disfigurations that are either congenital in nature or, acquired due to accidents or illness for example, cancer related disfigurations.

Although Plastic Surgery goes as far back as Ancient Egypt the first physicians who actually placed a more scientific scope in the field of Plastic Surgery and, to be more precise, cosmetic surgery were two Sicilians Gustav and Antonio Branka . Father and son, in 1400, they outlined the basic guidelines which plastic surgeons should follow when undertaking reconstructive nose surgery. However, the first to ever create a center for Plastic Surgery and to take the first steps to making Plastic Surgery an equally accepted field of medicine was another Italian, Taliakosi.

However, it was not until after World War I that Plastic Surgery developed its full scope of use. This was due to the enormous amount of facial and body disfigurations which either resulted in Plastic Surgery being undertaken for aesthetic reasons, to regain functional abilities or, more often than not, for both.

From then on and up until today, Plastic Surgery continues to play an ever increasingly important role as a field of medicine in today''s'' society either on its own when referring to simple cosmetic surgery or as part of, and in relation to other fields of surgical specialties.

Take Your Children For a Spray Tan!

Have you ever tried to get your teenage son or daughter to stop sun tanning, only to realize after several months/years, that you will not win with peer pressure?

The look of a suntanned body is "in" more than ever, and the tanning industry is one of the fastest growing beauty sectors. Do we have to see our children sacrifice their health for sake of fashion?

Not necessarily. Working in a tanning industry, I am watching a growing trend: parents are bringing in their children for a spray tan. Some as young as 11.

Is this a case of vanity?

Maybe, but as one of those mothers explained to me: "I had a death in the family because of the skin cancer, and myself, I had few cancerous spots removed. I know the danger, and I am not prepared to risk my daughter getting sick or dying. I am teaching her right habits so that she fits in with her friends, but takes care of herself at the same time."

Suddenly, it did not sound so vain any more. After all, I feel that my first duty as a mother is to keep my children safe. I make sure that I teach them how to cross the road and eat healthy foods, why not teach them how to avoid melanoma?

Sure, it can be a little bit expensive, but so are braces! And the result, if they learn the lesson, will not only ensure that they stay healthy, but also as an added benefit will give them a beautiful skin for the rest of their lives.

It might be worth it, after all.

Slather On That Tanning Bed Lotion

Tanning bed lotions abound. How do you choose from all the tanning bed lotions available?

There are tanning bed lotions that are in cream form. There are tanning bed lotions that are gels or oils. You can find tanning bed lotions that function as accelerators.

Tanning bed lotions are named to sound like wonderful desserts or sexy adventures. Do these tanning bed lotions work better than the ones that you can buy at WalMart?

I have tried a variety of tanning bed lotions and can not see much difference between the very expensive ones and the tanning bed lotions that are less costly.

First I bought one of the pricey tanning bed lotions from my tanning salon. It worked just fine and lasted about 2 months. Most of the tanning bed lotions at the salon are at least $20 a bottle.

Then I used the little containers offered for $2 a shot. I tried five different "shots" and they all seemed to work about the same. Using these tanning bed lotions did not seem to make my skin softer. Using these tanning bed lotions did not make my tan last longer and slathering myself with these expensive tanning bed lotions did not seem to accelerate my tan.

Then I went to WalMart and bought one of the tanning bed lotions they carry. The tanning bed lotions they had available were under $10.00. I found they worked as well and lasted as long.

Others may have better luck with the higher priced tanning bed lotions but I was very satisfied with the less expensive brands.

Taming The Frizz

My daughter hates her hair. Several of my friends hate their hair, too. Why? Because it tends to frizz!

We''re not talking afro style frizz here or even anything remotely close, but when your hair''s supposed to be sleek and smooth, even the tiniest amount of frizz can be frustrating.

While I''m not going to suggest I can cure your problems, having had my share of the frizzes I''ve picked up a good few tips through the years and hopefully, by following them, you''ll soon be experiencing frizz-free days, too.

* DO NOT wash you hair daily

Although you may feel that your hair will be dirty if you don''t wash it every morning while you shower, others are very unlikely to notice. Only greasy hair will show signs of being unwashed after one day and frizzy hair is rarely greasy. On the contrary, the fact that you''re stripping away your hair''s natural oils is the most likely cause of your frizz problem. Leave your hair for 3-4 days between washes.

* DO use conditioner

Try to find a moisturising conditioner and use it after every wash. It''s really worth paying a little extra for a good quality conditioner and if you can''t afford both a good shampoo and a good conditioner, put the extra money into the conditioner.

* DO give your hair an intensive hot oil treatment

About once every third wash (if you''re sticking to the 3-4 day washing guide), use a leave-in intensive conditioner on your hair. This will help replace any natural oils that your hair has lost due to the abrasive cleaners in shampoo and your hair being exposed to the elements (sun, wind etc).

* DO NOT use chemicals on your hair

Those who are unhappy with their hair have a tendency to colour it and use all sorts of other chemicals in a vain hope of somehow making it look better. The truth is, these chemicals are just adding to your problem. If your hair has a tendency to frizz, keep away from unnecessary chemical products.

* DO NOT expose your hair to the elements

Sun and wind will both dry your hair causing excessive frizzing. Try to wear a scarf or hat to cover your hair whenever you''re in the sun and especially if you know you''re going to be spending a lot of time outdoors. A scarf will also protect against wind damage. You might also consider buying hair products that protect against UV rays (they have a SPF - Sun Protection Factor).

* DO have your hair cut regularly

Those with frizzy hair will probably be happier with a short style but whatever you choose, it''s important you visit your hairdresser regularly as split ends will only add to the problem.

* DO try to keep your hair dry

Damp air leads to frizz. Unfortunately, we can''t always ensure that our hair will stay dry but if you think it might rain, carry an umbrella. There are some really funky looking brollies around these days so they won''t cramp your style.

* DO NOT use heated styling tools

Hair dryers, straightening irons and curling tongs all damage the hair and should be avoided as much as possible. If you MUST use them, always use a protective product on your hair beforehand. If you''re uncertain of the kind of product you''d need, ask your hairdresser for advice.

* DO use anti-frizz products

Products such as frizz-ease aren''t just another way of getting you to part with your money. Although they''ll never completely eliminate the problem, they really do help decrease it. However, it''s important that you stick with the other tips, too. Using anti-frizz products alone simply isn''t enough.

Although I can''t promise your frizz problems will disappear, these tips should at least help you eliminate the worst of the problem.

Just remember that whatever nature''s given you, it''s a lot better than if you''d not been given anything at all.

Have a happy hair day!

Reversing the Aging Process

Many scientists would say that we don''t know what is responsible for the aging process. Others might say that it is a normal part of the life cycle. I would like put forth a new and exciting observation here that may shed significant light on the causes of the aging process and on how it may potentially be not only stopped but reversed. What follows is based on anecdotal case study research that I have done and continue to undertake with a new tool I have developed called the Mind Resonance Process(TM)(MRP).

Over the last 10 years I have been working with MRP to help individuals effectively dissolve negative limiting beliefs and emotions that they carry in their consciousness. Such beliefs and emotions are stored in the mind/body as a result of the learning and life experience of the particular individual. Now although some beliefs can be altered over time with new learning, most which result from repeated experiences become almost "hardwired" within the person. Such hardwiring implies that there is an actual physiological change that occurs in the physical body at many levels.

It is this hardwiring "effect" that appears to be responsible for the aging process in my view. This idea has its roots in many observations I have made using MRP while helping inidviduals essentially "dissolve" these limiting beliefs and emotions from consciousness. The net result of such an endeavour has been the following: a great sense of renewed energy in the body, feelings of reinvigoration, a loss of weight, feelings of buoyancy, a youthful radiance emanating from the person and a reemergence of youthful characteristics.

I explain the results above as follows. Any negative beliefs or emotions usually result from and are part of a larger life experience which often has some traumatic roots to it. In other words tramatic events in the form of stored traumatic memories. Now we don''t usually experience these memories in consciousness on a daily basis unless one has been severely traumatized, in which case they may experience a "flooding" of past memories into consciousness in the form of "flashbacks".

The reason most of our traumatic memories are "unconscious" i.e.. out of conscious awareness, is because some of our "vital life energy" is being used to keep them there. Without this process we would find ourselves constantly flooded by such memories and we would be so distracted by them in the moment that we wouldn''t be able to function adequately. In fact this is the case with individuals with severe or chronic trauma.

As more and more of our vital life energy is used to hold these memories at bay the less there is to support the necessary physiological functions of our bodies. This leads to such things as a decrease in energy, states of depression (another term for a low energy state), decreased emotional and physical resilience to stress, increased vulnerability to physical deterioration i.e. illness and accelerated aging.

Now with MRP there is a way of releasing these traumatic events which intrude on and are held in our consciousness thereby depleting us of the vital life energy that is meant to keep us youthful and vibrant. Such release appears to allow one to reclaim the held energy and to spontaneously redirect it to its proper function which is to repair and support the physical body. Current studies looking at markers for aging such as declining testosterone and DHEA levels in men are being undertaken to verify these observations.

Retinol: One of the Best Over-the-counter Anti-wrinkle Ingredients

Dermatologists praise Retinol as an excellent over-the counter anti-wrinkle ingredient. Retinol creams work to soften lines and fade age spots.

WHAT IS RETINOL?

Retinol is the technical name for Vitamin A. Research suggests that topical Vitamin A can help build collagen fibers and exfoliate the skin, thereby minimizing the appearance of fine lines.

There are several forms of Vitamin A found in the body. Retinol is one of them; other forms include retinyl palmitate, retinal and retinoic acid. Renova and Retin-A® are retinoic acid, also known as tretinoin.

WHY USE A RETINOL CREAM?

Regular use of a retinol cream increases cell turnover and exfoliation by stimulating cell production and new collagen production. As we age, this process normally slows down and layers of dead, sun damaged skin cells build up on the skin. This causes our skin to look dull and thick; pores look large and we see the visible effects of sun damage such as age spots, uneven skin tone and less elasticity.

Using a retinol cream will encourage the exfoliation of these dead skin cells so healthier cells can surface. Skin will appear softer and smoother and pores will appear smaller. Skin will look younger and healthier. With the stimulation of collagen production, skin cells will be plumper, more like they were in our youth.

The cell rejuvenation caused by vitamin A has also been shown to be helpful on acne patients because the exfoliation unclogs pores and helps fade acne scars.

When looking for a vitamin A or retinol creme product, look for one with a high enough level of retinol to be effective.

POPULAR RETINOL-CONTAINING PRODUCTS

Vitamin A or Retinol is the main ingredient found in the skin creams and lotions of several popular product lines including DDF, SkinScience, and M.D. Forte.

Flax Seed Oil and Wrinkles

Flax seed oil helps lubricate the digestive system and softens the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles. Flax seed is packed with oils, fibers and protein that supply your body with essential fatty acids (EFAs), notably omega 6 (linoleic acid) and omega 3 (linolenic acid) fatty acids. Your body uses EFAs through hormone production, the metabolism of vitamins and protection at the cellular level. The lignans from flax seed hulls help control blood sugar and insulin, thereby reducing the risk of diabetes. Flax seed oil has also been shown to be helpful in reducing "bad" cholesterol. Deficiencies in EFAs have been found to be associated with eczema and dry skin. Some women have also found flax seed be helpful to in relieving hot flashes associated with menopause.

According to the Health Sciences Institute, the most effective and inexpensive way to eat flax seed is to grind it fresh and add it to cereal or juice. This is when the flax seed oil and fiber is the most potent (it starts to lose potency when exposed to air), and so you get the most benefit. Flax seed has a mild, nutty flavor and is much more palatable in the ground form than straight pressed flax seed oil. Further, one quarter cup of ground flax seed is the equivalent of 17 flax seed oil capsules, so there is substantial savings.

Resources:

You can find fresh whole flax seed at health food stores and natural grocery stores such as whole foods.

She has hundreds of clients locally and many clients that fly or drive in to Dallas for her services. One of her clients flies all the way from Spain just to get her hair done. Gia says, "I find that clients who are willing to drive or fly that far just to get their hair done are the biggest compliment and the proof of my success."

So what is this makeover fuss all about? Gia explains that most of her clients have either been the victim of an inexperienced stylist or have simply not thought enough about the change in hairstyle they wanted and they are now stuck with something they hate. Gia adds, "Most of my makeovers include color correction, which can be highlights, color, gloss or all of the above. Makeovers also include a haircut and style, along with makeup application. The total process can take around 4 hours to complete."

Gia says, "When dealing with color correction, the first thing every client asks me is ''...how damaged will my hair be after a color correction?''" Believe it or not, color correction is not as damaging as it used to be. The old way of stripping hair color out with bleach is history. Modern day products allow hair stylists to remove ''artificial pigment'' only, meaning that it will not open, damage, or split the cuticle of the hair in any way. This allows hairdressers to remove the most intense colors from hair, and allow it to be re-colored in the same appointment time."

Gia will also offer suggestions for change in color and style to fix any problems a client reports with their hair. "For example, if a client has a brassy blonde color, I will suggest a bleach highlight or an ash toner to offset the brass color." She explains.

Getting a successful makeover depends on the experience of the stylist. Gia further explains, "My previous clients and even new clients trust my experience level and let me do what ever I feel like with their hair. Most of the time when I''m doing a makeover, I am usually correcting another stylist''s color or haircut. I usually ask my clients what or who they would like to look like and to give a firm example of what they like and don''t like. And, even if a client loves the way her hair looks, they may be looking for a change to further improve their hair style."

Photos of styles the client likes are very helpful to hair stylists. Gia adds, "Clients and stylists have different vocabularies. For example, Bangs. There are a thousand ways to wear bangs." Gia recommends bringing at least three photos of the hair style you want so your stylist does not get confused.

Gia also keeps a computer at her work station to look up hair styles online (such as a past hair style of a celebrity) if a client does not have photos or cannot remember certain styles they like. The computer eliminates the need for bulky portfolio books.

"Once the client and I have decided on a style and color," Gia explains, "We discuss what it will take to get the clients hair to that hair style." Most of the time the exact cut and color are achieved in one day. But Gia mentions that some clients that are growing their hair out may take several months and appointments to reach their overall goal. Human hair extensions (human hair extensions are attached directly to the natural hair) are also an option for clients that don''t want to wait for their hair to grow out.

Gia''s makeover experience is well-documented on her website: http://www.hairbygia.com Many before and after photo examples of makeovers, including hair extensions can be seen for your reference. Gia is quickly becoming the talk of the town with recent appearances on the television show "Austin Nights" (Segment can be viewed on her website) for her hair extensions services. She was also interviewed for the Number One best selling E-book by Hair Resources, 2005''s Most Popular Hair Extensions and participated as a Judge in their Nationwide Bridal Hair Style Contest.

In short, if you are sick and tired of your hair style and need a makeover, a trip to visit Gia Wood at Salon D in Dallas, Texas may well be worth your time, money?and happiness!

Holiday 2009 Hair Style: How to Look Perfect in Summer

Keeping your holiday hair style under control isn''t just about keeping your expensive up-do from falling down while you''re dancing. It''s about healthy-looking hair during those wet, hot, and sticky months of summer, whether at home or on vacation.

Those who live in areas where the sun and humidity get downright unbearable during the summer know how difficult it is to keep their hair looking good. But if you aren''t familiar with the potentially damaging effects of humidity, salt water, sand, chlorine, wind and dry air, you might not know how to properly care for your holiday hair.

It''s easy to breathe new life into it by following a few simple summertime tips.

Hair that''s full of split ends looks bad so the first thing you should do even before the summer months set in is give your hair a good trim to remove those damaged ends or try a new hair style. Hair looks instantly better after it''s been cut.

If you plan to color your hair, remember that chemically treated hair is more vulnerable to environmental conditions such as sun, water and humidity. Plan your hair coloring three weeks before your trip so your hair has time to regain its natural balance and is more resistance to damage.

Another thing you can do is ask your stylist for a deep conditioning treatment prior to your vacation. This will help to smooth the hair, repair damage and make the whole hair structure stronger.

Depending on your destination climate, you might also need to bring a surface conditioner with moisturizing qualities for hot, dry weather or frizz control cream for a humid climate. Unlike deep conditioners, these products coat your hair with a protective layer while adding gloss and making your style more manageable.

It just wouldn''t be a summer vacation without time in the water. Although swimming and other water activities are a lot of fun, they can wreak havoc on your holiday hair. Whether you''re swimming in the sea or at the hotel pool, always rinse the sea salt and chlorine out of your hair with plenty of fresh water.

Chlorine dries out the hair, making it brittle. It also fades the color and with some hair colors, can turn hair an unsightly shade of green. It''s not the chlorine that turns your hair green but the presence of heavy metals like copper. The chlorine initiates the process by damaging the hair cuticle, which allows these metals to enter the inner structure of hair.

It also wouldn''t be a summer vacation without spending as much time as possible in the sun. We know how damaging the sun''s UV rays are to our skin, but these rays also damage the hair''s structure. They break down the keratin which results in dry hair that breaks easily. So look for hair care products that contain UV protection and use them as directed to help your holiday hair style look as healthy as your holiday tan.

Lots of people with fine hair apply too much anti-frizz serum to their scalp and hair, which makes it look greasy and weighed down. Instead, apply a light conditioner beginning at the middle of the hair strand and continuing down to the ends. Then finish your hair style with anti-frizz serum applied only to the ends to seal off the tips so water can''t enter the hair shaft.

When you''re packing your suitcase, be sure you include a mild shampoo, a mild conditioner, an anti-frizz serum (especially if you have naturally curly hair), and hair spray for those times when your holiday hair needs extra hold. And check to make sure all these products contain UV protection. Just remember: using UV products doesn''t mean you can stay out in the sun indefinitely. Your hair and scalp can be damaged if exposed to too much sun so don''t forget to bring a sun hat.

Sun Damage: A Major Cause of Wrinkling and Premature Aging

Most of us love the warmth of the sun, but over exposure can cause significant damage to our skin. The sun''s ultraviolet rays (UV) can cause our skin to dry out and lose essential oils and decades of tanning, burning and over exposure to the sun may cause changes in our skin''s structure.

Unprotected skin exposed to the sun can gradually lose essential oils, making it dry, flaky and prematurely wrinkled. Repeated episodes of sunburn, although they appear to heal on the surface, can lead to permanent skin damage over time.

Excessive over exposure to the sun can cause changes in the skin''s collagen called photoaging. These changes can take the form of wrinkles and fine lines, decreased skin elasticity (sagging skin), or a thickened skin textured. UV radiation can damage the collagen that supports the walls of the skin''s blood vessels, causing them to be more fragile. A symptom of this is easy bruising on sun-exposed areas such as the back of hands.

Over the years, repeated sunburns and unprotected exposure to the sun can increase the risk of skin cancers including basal cell and malignant melanoma and other types of skin cancers..

Prevention is the key to avoiding photoaging and more serious skin damage. Here are some ways you can protect your skin from the harmful UV rays:

ALWAYS apply a sunscreen before you go outdoors, especially to your face, neck and hands. That means 365 days a year, rain, shine or clouds. Choose a sunscreen that has a sun protection factor (SPF) of 15 or more, with a broad spectrum of protection against both UV-A and UV-B rays.

Use a sunblock on your lips, preferably with an SPF of 20 or above.

Wear sunglasses with UV-A and UV-B light protection.

Wear long pants, a shirt with long sleeves and a hat with a wide brim.

Limit your time outdoors when the sun is at its highest (about 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.)

Certain medications such as antibiotics can increase your vulnerability to sunburn. Check with your doctor.

What to do if you think you already have skin damage

Be sure to see your doctor immediately if you have any unusual looking moles or changes in your skin. Don''t wait.

You may be able to improve the appearance of moderately sun damaged skin with alpha-hydroxy acids, which remove dead skin cells from the out layers of your skin, leaving it softer and smoother. Chemical peels, laser resurfacing or microdermabrasion may also be helpful.

How to Achieve Younger Looking Skin

HEALTHY SKIN BEGINS WITH THE BASICS.

Overexposure to the sun causes wrinkles and premature aging.

The most important thing you can do to help minimize wrinkles is to stay out of the sun. If you suntan now, you will pay for it later. Over time, exposure to the sun causes permanent damage to your skin. This causes freckling, dark spots, wrinkles, and thickening or roughening of the skin, and you can end up looking years older than your actual age. More seriously, it can also lead to skin cancer. Wearing a sunscreen with UVA and UVB protection daily is a must. Don''t forget your lips-use a lip balm with sunscreen daily. A darker shade of lipstick will offer some additional protection. Some people who are sensitive to the sun also find excessive sun exposure aggravates/promotes cold sores.

Diet and Exercise Make a Difference.

Younger looking skin starts from the inside, with a healthy, balanced diet and regular exercise. Eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, and avoid refined sugars, flours and processed foods. Try to eat more whole grains and seafood and less red meat. Learn to regard beans and legumes as a tasty source of protein and fiber. You have probably read many times about the importance of drinking lots of water, but do you actually do it? One of the best things you can do for healthier, younger looking skin is to drink lots of water, at least eight 8-ounces glasses a day, more if exercising. Drinking water helps keep your body hydrated, your skin will be softer and wrinkles will be less apparent.

An exercise program is vital to staying healthy and younger looking. Exercise, both aerobic and strength training, has so many benefits. Here are just a few:

Strengthens your heart and lungs

Lowers blood pressure and raises the percentage of HDL (good) cholesterol and lowers the LDL (bad) cholesterol

Strength training helps prevent loss of bone mass as you age

Healthier skin - exercise increases blood flow to the skin and helps release toxins

Gives you a better night''s sleep. A good night''s sleep helps rejuvinate you mentally and physically.

Just 20 minutes of excercise a day, 3 days a week, can make a tremendous difference.

Try Wrinkle Creams and Anti-Aging Skincare Products.

Now that you''ve armed yourself with protection from the sun, a good diet and exercise, you can explore the myriad of wrinkle creams and anti-aging skincare products for reducing the appearance of your wrinkles and to help prevent new ones.

There are many on the market. The best ones include alpha hydroxy acids or beta hydroxy acids, which help exfoliate the skin to reveal the softer, smoother skin underneath. Other hot products include those with argireline, which is a peptide that helps relax facial muscles when applied topically.

Beauty Doesn't Have To Be Expensive

Where do you buy your beauty supplies? If you buy them from a department store- you are paying way too much! I was a department store buyer for many years. I was hooked on a particular brand, and I thought that the products were only available at the department store. I was wrong. With a little bit of time and research, I was able to shave off 50% of my beauty supply bill. Imagine what you could do with the extra money. The process is actually really simple. All you have to do is find the right websites.

Many of us are hooked on a particular brand of beauty supplies. We have used them for years, and love the way that they make us look and feel. The price tag however isn''t very pretty. Try doing a search online for your favorite beauty products. You may find that auction sites such as EBay.com have really good deals. Make sure to find out about shipping and return policies. I am a sucker for a free shipping deal, so try to find them whenever possible. You may also be able to purchase the product directly from the manufacturer''s website. Look for online promotions that will give you discounts on the items you buy most. Coupon sites can give you even better discounts, so shop around.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to try a new cheaper brand, have no fear. Most websites will include a list of ingredients for all of their products. You can then compare this list with products that you have tried before. Look for products that have natural ingredients. If you can''t produce anything on the label, chances are its not a good deal. There are many companies that focus on creating cheap designer knock-offs, so you may get a fragrance or cologne for much less than the name brand.

Buying beauty supplies online can be a lot of fun. You will be amazed at the level of savings, and pleased with the final product. Try getting together with friends and family members to compare beauty regimens. You may find a new product or item that you cannot live without. Always remember- beauty doesn''t have to be expensive!

Melanie Breeze, avid online shopper and user of CouponChief, is always shopping around for the best deals. You can find beauty supply bargains and savings available around the web at CouponChief, all in one location. What the Peat Bog People Can Tell Us About Beauty

Over the past centuries, remains of many hundreds of people-- men, women, and children--have come to light in peat bogs in northwestern Europe, especially in Ireland, Great Britain, the Netherlands, northern Germany, and Denmark. Peatlands are most extensive in northern regions. They develop where drainage of water is blocked, precipitation is retained, and decomposition of organic matter is slowed. Because of their highly acidic nature, wetness, low temperature, and absence of oxygen, northern bogs have become a repository of past life.

The bog people are amazingly well-preserved with fingernails, hair, and teeth in excellent condition. How is this possible when the dates range from 8000 B.C. to the early medieval times?

The peat (Moor Peat) contained in the bogs has amazing preserving properties which contribute to its ability to both combat aging and enhance health. Peat has excellent moisture- retaining qualities which improves skin elasticity.

When peat is applied to the skin, penetrates partially between the epidermis cells of the skin. A, producing an exchange reaction of ions is produced when the binding process with albumin in the skin occurs. The harmful positive ions in the skin tissues are exchanged for the rejuvenating negative ions in the moor peat. These particles are captured by the blood vessels in the system, carried throughout the body to help healing.

The rejuvenating benefits can be attributed to the abundance of essential oils, fatty acids and lipoids. These penetrate into the skin re-establishing the skin''s natural pH balance. When you apply the moor peat to your skin, the increased flow of blood to the skin can be seen by the flush of color seen on the skin when the peat is rinsed off. This characteristic of Moor Peat makes it most effective as an addition to any anti-aging and beauty treatment for the skin.

The soluble organic and inorganic active ingredients leave the skin detoxified, purified, and toned. It''s naturally hypoallergenic and powerful and yet gentle.

The anti-inflammatory, bactericidal astringent and its bioavailability properties of Moor Peat make it an excellent skin treatment both for healthy and problem skin.

It has been found to be helpful in treating acne, eczema, psoriasis, burns, scars, stretch marks, and cellulite.

For Cellulite, an inflammation of the subcutaneous tissues caused by a build up of toxins, poor blood circulation and fluid retention due to weak lymphatic flow, Moor Peat improves both the inflammation and its causes, making it an excellent treatment for cellulite and an aid to weight loss.

In fine spas Moor Peat (or Moor Mud) is regularly used as bath, body wrap, and facial treatments. Cost for these treatments can be as high as $150 for a body wrap, $100 for a bath, and $85 for a mud mask or facial mask. These spa treatments can be done successfully at home for fraction of the cost by purchasing fine quality Moor Peat from a quality supplier such as Moor Mud Baths (http://www.moormudbaths.com).

Vying for Those Desirable Cosmetics Patients

Dentists going for the "gold ring" of cosmetic dentistry practice might find the reach may exceed their grasp.

Just about any dental practitioner answers to the title, "Cosmetic Dentist." But placing the C-word on a shingle may not automatically impress today''s patients. A barrage of media accounts of vanity healthcare adventures has created a new consumer in dental care that is also well informed via the Internet.

And now that a young, healthy smile is a "must-have" among patients of all ages, this savvy public can more easily detect the "wannabe" from the real thing. So, dentists aiming to attract patients with "smile makeovers" in their eyes better make sure they measure up:

Training, training, training.

Dentists operating at the top of the cosmetic heap continually attend seminars and workshops to remain at the forefront of research, materials and techniques.

"Dentistry has changed more in the last five years than in the last 20 years," says Dr. Daniel Deutsch, at the Washington Center for Dentistry, in Washington, DC. "So, we can''t get away with just reading professional journals. It means regular hands-on training with top specialists in the field."

Speaking with authority. A fine cosmetic dentist will speak with honesty, clarity and authority about options to improve a smile. They will be upfront and map out an organized plan of dental services, including phases of treatment, how much time it will take and how much it will cost. These dentists know better than to try to sell a "quick fix." They have respect for the patient and the process.

Good Taste in Smile Design

A dentist needs refined taste and artistry when it comes to teeth, because patients are entrusting them with a critical esthetic responsibility-their smile.

"A smile change is a self-esteem matter," says Dr. Marc Doctors, also of Washington, DC.

And a session to review a smile design outlines the direction the treatment will take. This is the moment patients expect an impressive display of knowledge about the well-engineered smile.

• The Sophisticate These teeth sport evenly aligned edges and usually mark a more mature smile.

• The Celebrity The prominent central front teeth are longer than their next-door neighbors and convey a "sexy" image of youth, warmth and vigor.

• The Sport This design falls between mature and sexy, with central front teeth still somewhat longer and prominent than the lateral neighbors, but it is softer, connoting health more than age or youth.

• Skin tone, lips, height and body type determine which features should go into a smile.

• Computer imaging or mockup materials and photos are used to give an idea of a result.

Experience!

There''s nothing like experience to help convince patients that they are in good hands in their quest for a new smile. Good cosmetic dentists doing a lot of successful cosmetic dentistry ooze experience when they talk.

"While every smile is different, every smile design covers similar territory," says Washington Center for Dentistry''s Dr. Bernard Lynch,

Photos are everything

Fine cosmetic dentists will pull out books of photos showing before-and-after images of their own work. These photos easily provide the chance to see other patients with similar problems and their results.

Testimonials

And of course a dentist needs endorsements to demonstrate that others have been happy with their work. Many docs have books of letters from former patients.

With a lovely office to match

It''s the image thing here. A good cosmetic dentist provides a refined environment for patients. The psychology at work is that an immaculate, well-designed office enhances the image of the dentist''s taste in teeth.

Look the part

And the cosmetic docs also take seriously the importance of their own meticulous physical image. Immaculate grooming speaks volumes about the care doctors will take with their work. Today''s cosmetic dentists have their work cut out for them. The bar is set high. And with keen competition for patients, dentists should prepare to always aim high and reach for that "gold ring."

9 Critical Facts You Should Know Before Committing to Cosmetic Surgery

Cosmetic surgery is now so common, it''s almost commonplace. Cosmetic surgical procedures are used to correct everything from disfigurements that are the result of an accident to physical features that are perceived to be less than perfect. In some cases, cosmetic surgery can help to correct not only a physical trait but help to raise a person''s self-esteem as well.

There are a number of different cosmetic surgery options. The most common cosmetic surgical procedures involve redefining some aspect of the body, while others involve enhancing the skin through a variety of measures. Liposuction is a very popular cosmetic surgery option. This procedure allows the physician to suction the fat off various portions of the body to reveal slimmer and trimmer physique.

Rhinoplasty is a cosmetic surgery procedure in which the nose is reshaped. Some patients request this surgery because they perceive their nose to be either too big or an unattractive shape. In other cases, the procedure may be necessary to help a patient breathe better.

Implants is a term that is used frequently in regard to cosmetic surgery, however; besides it''s obvious application to the breast area implants are also used to enhance other body parts. The chin and cheekbones are two areas where are implants are frequently used to redefine a patient''s profile.

There are a variety of cosmetic surgery procedures that can be done to enhance the breast area. Implants are used frequently to increase a patient''s bust size. While the subject of breast implants received much bad press several years ago due to the fact that silicone breast implants were proven to be unsafe, the products used today are considered to be much safer. Lifts are often necessary to correct breasts that sag and droop. Augmentation may be utilized in order to align the breasts so that they are the same size when there is a situation where one breast is smaller than the other.

While some patients wish to undergo cosmetic surgery in order to increase their bust size, others have a breast reduction in order to reduce their breast size. This is often necessary when a woman has very large breasts that may cause health issues such as back pain and strain on the neck and shoulders.

The cosmetic surgery frequently referred to as a tummy tuck is similar to liposuction in that it removes excess fat from the area around the stomach and waist. Patients who have lost significant amounts of weight may find it necessary to have this procedure performed as well as an arm lift or buttock/thigh lift. When an individual loses large amounts of weight, particularly at a rapid rate, the skin generally begins to sag and no amount of exercise is able to tone the sagging skin. These types of cosmetic surgical procedures can tighten the skin.

While there are a variety of cosmetic surgery options available today that can correct almost any skin or body problem, it is important for patients to have realistic expectations. First, some cosmetic surgeries will leave permanent scars. The prospective patient must weigh the advantages and disadvantages of having a permanent scar against living with the issue that drove them to consider surgery. Secondly, it is very important that the patient realize that cosmetic surgery does not produce overnight results. Some surgeries will not produce optimal results until at least a year after the surgery was performed. Finally, as with all surgeries, cosmetic surgery does come with inherent risks and dangers.

The Key Benefits of Hyaluronic Acid

With so many applications for hyaluronic acid (also known as "HA"), it is helpful to have a grasp on exactly what HA is, what it does, and what uses and benefits HA provides. For that reason, an in-depth description of the uses and benefits of hyaluronic acid is required to answer the public''s questions about this extremely popular natural molecule.

Hyaluronic acid helps to store water in the skin, providing essential moisture to body processes. HA helps control cell migration, which protect cells and also activates white cells in the blood. Because HA is an endogenous substance, it can be used to reduce the need for antibiotics by stimulating the immune system. HA helps reduce bacterial infections and has been found to inhibit the growth of a variety of strains of bacteria. It has also been concluded that HA even reduced the number of chronic bronchitis infections in patients.

There are many different options for supplementing your natural supply of hyaluronic acid. Currently, the most popular uses of hyaluronic acid supplements and products are to combat signs of aging such as wrinkles and as therapy for certain joint ailments. Hyaluronic acid supplements also boast the ability to combat and help with everything from sexual dysfunction to sleep problems.

The benefits of using hyaluronic acid treatments and supplements include: increased mobility, softer skin, faster wound healing, fibromyalgia relief, retinal lubrication, and clearer vision. In addition, users of HA have been known to enjoy dry skin relief, improved sleep, stabilized emotions, reduced fine lines, hair growth, hair color restoration, tissue reconstruction, and improved bone density. Other HA benefits include increased mental alertness, improved muscle strength, increased sexual potency, and strengthening of internal organs.

Self Tanning - Affordable and Easy To Do

Sunless tanning has many advantages over the traditional sun tanning. Some people are unable to tan due to their melanocytes not being in working order. Sunless tanning avoids this problem as it does not require melanocytes. The active ingredient in many sunless tanning supplies is Dihydroxyacetone[DHA]. DHA saturates the dead skin cells at the surface of the outside layer of the skin, turning the dead cells brown (or tan color).

Sunless tanning is completely safe. There is a common myth that sunless tanning is unsafe. The FDA in the 1970s banned tanning pills which are completely different than the sunless tanners on the market today. Today''s sunless tanning products are safe even for children(always consult your own doctor, prior to using any product as he knows any allergic reactions you or your child may have).

The nice thing about sunless tanning is that the tan is temporary. They usually last around five to seven days after that it wears off and you get progressively lighter. This is perfect for those people who are attending a wedding and want to have a nice tan!

Another advantage of sunless tanning is that sunless tans instant. You do not have to start "working on a tan" months in advance. You can also control how dark you are with sunless tanning.

One of the best advantages of sunless tanning is you do not have tan lines like lying out in the sun. Many women do sunless tanning just for this benefit!

Going tanning at a tanning salon is expensive, sunless tanning is cost effective for. Many drug stores have a store brand of self tanner that works great and is just as good as many of the more expensive products.

Finally, you do not have to do this alone. Many of your friend''s already sunless tan, every so often get together for a "tanning party." These tanning parties are getting more and more popular with self tanners.

An Alternative to Liposuction. Lipoliquidation or Lipodialysis

Even though liposuction methods have been greatly refined and simplified since the initial onset of this method of plastic surgery, there still remain however a large amount of people who, had they had an alternative choice of dealing with their fatty deposits other than the method which is currently and most widely used by plastic surgeons, they would have done so.

If you are one of those people who would have liked to have dealt with your stubborn fatty deposits but, who just can''t quite come to terms with conventional liposuction methods and all that that entails, the surgery (sometimes under general anesthetic), the corsages (usually worn for one to two weeks), and the inevitable bruising then, one the methods outlined below may just very well be the one that suits you.

Lipoliquidation is but one of the newest and, most revolutionary areas of cosmetic surgery which does not entail the use of a lancet. The basic concept regarding lipoliquidation pertains to the use of certain medicines which are injected directly under the skin, and which are designed to fight the problem of stubborn fatty deposits right at the root. The medicinal solutions which are injected into the problem areas ruin the lining of the fatty-cells releasing, in turn, the fat, thereby allowing the body''s natural excretion mechanisms to expel the fat and toxins from the body. There are a variety of solutions which are available to the plastic surgeon who undertakes lipoliquidation as a method of dealing with fatty deposits. Below are outlined the various solutions available, how they are used and, for what kind of areas of the body they are recommended for.

HOMOTOXICOLOGICAL MEDICINAL INJECTIONS

This refers to a ''cocktail'' of vegetable substances which are used primarily in the field of homeopathy in order to stimulate the body''s self-repair mechanisms. Homotoxicology is based on the theory that '' an illness is the body''s attempt to defend itself from the toxins which have entered it''. The homotoxicological solutions used, reinforce the body''s defence mechanisms enabling thus, the body to cure itself. Method of application: a form of injectional therapy is undertaken. Firstly, the dermatologist inserts needles with the substance to be used in the area with the problem and, following this he undertakes a ''systematic'' approach by way of placing needles on the patients'' foot acupunctional energy points. The homotoxicological substance is then transferred to the fatty tissue causing lipoliquidation. Areas of use: the homotoxicological method is used for thighs, buttocks and calves. There are no side-effects. Furthermore, parallel to the injectional therapy, inversional pressure massage is also undertaken as this assists in the channeling of the lymph through the lymphic route allowing it to be carried out of the body along with the fat.

THREE-SOLUTION COMBINATION

This pertains to the use of three different solutions which have been found to undertake a ''chemical'' attack against the fatty tissues gradually ruining them. The first step is to issue into the body a medicine which tones up the fatty tissues'' micro-circulatory system. The second medicine is very drastic and is widely used to counteract high cholesterol levels on people who are hyperlipidynamic. Once the fat has been dissolved, a third medicine, aminophiline which is a diuretic is issued assisting the body in expelling the fat.

Method of application: The medicines used in this form of lipoliquidation are administered alternatively. Injections are undertaken once a week on the various parts of the body. The therapy is repeated on average twelve times meaning that it takes up to three months to undergo the full cycle of therapy. Upon the completion of the therapy the patient sees a 50% improvement and, in two months following the results of the therapy reach the capacity of 100% improvement.

Areas of use: this form of therapy is used to combat local fatty deposits and cellulite on thighs, buttocks, calves, arms and stomach. The injections which the patient undergoes in view of this form of therapy also contain anesthetic so as to minimize pain which may be felt.

ARTICHOKE HEART EXTRACT INJECTIONS

Considered as being nature''s ''heavy artillery'' in the fight against fatty deposits, the artichoke''s heart is gaining more and more fans amongst those who want to address their problem in the most natural means as possible. The artichoke''s heart extracts are already being used to counteract high cholesterol levels and have also been found to have miraculous lipoliquidation results. The solution which is injected into the patient''s body contains artichoke heart extracts, vitamin B1 and anesthetic.

Method of application: The artichoke heart extract is injected by means of very fine needles directly under the epidermis forcing thus, the lipocells to release their fat and toxins and to expel them from the body. Injections are undertaken fortnightly for a span of six months. The patient undergoing treatment begins to see results after two months since the commencement of therapy. Final results are seen eight to ten weeks after the completion of therapy. If the therapy is supplemented with a correct eating regime and exercise, results will last up to tree years. Areas of use: Artichoke heart extract therapy is especially suited in counteracting fatty deposits on thighs, buttocks, calves and stomach areas.

LIPOLIQUIDATION THERAPY WITH OZONE AND OXYGEN

The solutions used in this form of lipoliquidation therapy contain ozone and oxygen which, are currently being used in medicine to deal with problems pertaining to circulatory and neurological disorders and hepatitis to name but a few.

Method of application: The oxygen/ozone solutions used in this form of lipoliquidation therapy affect the fatty tissue''s lipid acids by way of transforming them into water soluble combinations. They are then expelled by the body through the urinary system. Furthermore to this, the oxygen/ozone solution used in the lipoliquidation therapy also assists in enhancing the general health, elasticity and texture of the skin. It also, it has powerful anti-inflammatory effect, tones the body''s circulatory system, activates the cells'' enzymes, enhances the oxygenation of tissues and, fights free radicals.

Areas of use: oxygen/ozone therapy can be undertaken on every part of the face, on knees and calves and is highly recommended in treating cellulite. There are no side effects to this form of treatment and results are visible from the second week of therapy onwards. Also, if the patient is careful in his/her dietary habits and undertakes regular exercise the oxygen/ozone lipoliquidation therapy will have permanent results.

The 3 Things You are Doing Right Now that are Causing Your Dark Eyes Circles

When I started searching for a solution for dark circles under the eyes I thought that it was going to be easy to find something that really worked. I tried several products just to end up empty handed. As you probably know there are some products out there to camouflage dark circles, others are topical lotions to place under your eyes. All of which offer very little improvement.

The question is? why?

Why do these products that you apply to your skin offer very little help?

The answer I found was simple yet very illusive. The problem lays somewhere else in your body and the solutions are inexpensive if you have the right information (more on this in a minute).

First, we must face the fact that some of the products out on the market are shameless fakes and scams, products designed to take your money living you empty handed and feeling cheated.

Now I don''t think of myself as difficult to satisfy but paying $90.00 for a cream that produces this result it''s simply a waste of your hard earned money.

This proves to you that products offered to cure dark circles only treated the surface of the skin and not the real problem.

So you are probably thinking that by going straight to the professionals might clear everything up and give you an honest solution. Don''t be so sure.

I did just that and the more I asked the more confused I became. Almost every respectable professional that I talked to gave me different answers: some told me that dark circles are hereditary, others claimed that the only solution was Laser surgery, there were the ones that believed that dark circles are caused by allergies, a few disregarded the problem and simply blamed it on lack of sleep, and I could go on and on.

When I asked Dermatologists and Cosmetic doctors about how to remove dark circles, one of the answers I got the most was that dark circles can only be removed by laser surgery. When I researched this version deeper I found a sickening truth.

The fact is that Laser surgery is in vogue and cosmetic doctors are making huge profits performing these procedures to remove dark circles. A simple case of dark circles can cost you a few thousand dollars.

No wonder most of these professionals recommend this treatment, how could they recommend anything else when they know that these procedures bring money by the truck load.

This really made me furious, I consider this unethical and misleading and so should you.

The other problem with surgeries is that sometime they produce undesirable results, burning of the skin; scarring and discoloration are some of the complications caused by eye lid surgery.

Aging is All About Self Esteem

Many of you probably think that aging is something that is just part of the normal life cycle. If your concept of the life cycle is then something like "you''re born, you age and then you die" then it''s not surprizing that this is where you are headed. Although you are likely not alone in believing this I would like to challenge you to take a step back from this belief for a moment.

What I''d like you to try now is to repeat the statement to yourself again once, and as you do try not to listen to the words. Instead listen to how the words make you feel inside. I know that this may sound strange or feel a bit callenging but try it anyway. Alternately you can allow someone else to read it to you as you focus on and listen to the feelings it evokes within you.

So again the statement is:

(A) "You''re born, you age and then you die".

Now if you are a sensitive individual I can guess that the feelings that emerged with hearing such a statement were not exactly pleasant. For instance did you feel any of the following: saddness, heaviness, frustration, anger, hopelessness, helplessness, a sinking feeling, feeling limited or trapped?

If so, what do you think these feelings are trying to communicate to you about statement(A)? Well, if you consider this long enough, you''ll probably agree that these feelings are suggesting to you that that statement is not good for you i.e. it is toxic to you. Just think about it.

When you eat something that isn''t good for your body how does it react? Not well, right? That reaction is your body telling you "that''s not good for you"! In the same way the feelings you may have had about statement (A) are telling you the same thing about the statement itself.

So you see, your body reacts not only to foods, it also reacts to beliefs that happen to be inside you that are not good for you. A belief is simply a statement that you choose to keep inside of yourself because you think it is going to be useful to you in some way. I''m only guessing that all this may be a new revelation for you. If not, I congratulate you on your wisdom.

Now when you eat something that isn''t good for you, what do you do? Well, you make sure that that food never finds its way back inside you, don''t you? So my next question is: Why have you persisted in keeping statement (A) inside you if it makes you feel so bad? In other words why do you believe statement (A) is useful to you?

Well you might now say something like, "It''s not a question of whether it''s good for me or not, it''s just a fact, I can''t change it". Well this last statement is another belief, isn''t it? How does it make you feel? Probably the same way statement (A) made you feel, correct?

So are you beginning to see how many "toxic" beliefs you have inside you? By "toxic", I mean something that makes you feel uncomfortable, uneasy, sick, sad etc.. It''s no wonder you''re body is deteriorating i.e. aging. After all isn''t aging what happens to you when you take something toxic inside yourself and it stays there for a long period and undermines the normal functioning of your body so that it breaks down?

Now that you''ve followed me so far I want to add that the choice to take something toxic into ones'' self is an issue of "Self Esteem"! That is, if you like yourself sufficiently, you are unlikely to choose to take into yourself something that is toxic to you, correct? Whether it''s bad food, cigarettes, toxic chemicals, drugs or beliefs, the effects are the same.

You may even be surprized if I said to you that the latter are probably more toxic than all the others.

What''s interesting about all of this is that you actually "do" have a choice! If you want to know more about how you can exercise this choice you may wish to visit the web site below in my bio.

With brushing teeth properly i mean, brushing your teeth twice a day. Brush your outer and inner surfaces at 45-degree angle. On chewing surfaces, hold the brush flat and brush back and forth. On inside surfaces of front teeth, tilt brush vertically and use gentle up and won strokes with toe of the brush. Even brush your tongue to remove food particles and freshen your mouth. DO NOT BRUSH YOUR TEETH AFTER EACH MEAL as it may effect your enamel.

Tip: The amount of time for which our teeth are exposed to sweets affect our teeth more than the number of sweets. So avoid sticky sweets like toffee or hard candies like mints.
